One year later, and yummy still!

One year later, and it's time to pull the cake topper out of the freezer. Unwrapping the cake was the hardest part. I don't remember who wrapped it up. It had to be my mom or grandmother. Either way, it was really hard to get all the wax paper and ceran wrap. Once we got it opened we were able to try it. We were both a little nervous and worried about how it would taste. Luckily though, it was pretty good! The cake part was a little dry, but what can you expect after being frozen for a year? The best part was the frosting! It was so good!

Here's the cake in ceran wrap. The frosting was falling off of the cake because of the ceran wrap.
Here we are feeding each other!
It got a little messy! haha
Whoops!

Yeah, so we're kind of obsessed...

So0o0o Jesse and I have pretty much become obsessed with the Express. We have started to go to a game almost every night if we don't have anything else going on. We have suckered a few people into going to the games, and we have also ran into friends at the game! We also went to a Question and Answer session with 4 of the express players and then watched Sandlot at the Alamo Drafthouse. It was with pitchers Jeremy Johnson, Ryan McKeller, Tyler Lumsden, and catcher Lou Santangelo. We actually learned a lot of neat things about them. For example, Ryan McKeller graduated from Pflugerville! Here are a few pictures.

Here's Mark Saccomanno up to bat!

Round Rock Express

Sorry that we have not written in a while. We have been busy with school work and express games! For Christmas I bought Jesse the Fireworks package for our local affiliate team to the Houston Astros, Round Rock Express. The Fireworks package is for every Friday night game and a few games here and there. We have found ourselves at the games at least once a week when they are in town. It's great fun and we love it! We sit right behind the visitors dugout so we have a great view and a ton of opportunities to catch foul balls. This is the view that we have from our seats. Pretty awesome! We love it!

Utah, Day 4

Day 4 was the day we flew home! I was really sad to be leaving. I loved the mountains so much and just couldn't get enough! So0o0o... I was taking pictures on the way to the airport and while on the plane. Jesse thought it was silly, but was nice enough to let me continue with my 'mountain with snow' obsession. Geez how I love that man! One thing that we were looking forward to when getting home was natural heat from the sun! haha... needless to say, when we got out of the airport in Austin I had to pull my jacket out. :( Either way, it's nice to be home!

Utah, Day 3

Sunday was day 3! Part of the reason we went to SLC was to attend General Conference. We had a great time and it's always nice to have reassurance in everything that we do for the Lord.

That evening we went to Temple Square to take pictures while the sun sets. The flowers were in full bloom and everything was gorgeous! It was beautiful! Here are pictures from that.

Utah, Day 2

So here is day 2!

We started the day off by heading to Heber City to ride the train there into the mountains to enjoy even more of the scenery. Once again, it was snowing when we got there. I'm glad Mother Nature and I were agreeing on things! haha! We had a blast on the train, and it was Jesse's first train ride!! It's an Ashmore tradition to ride a train of some sort on every vacation.

After that, we headed to Park City to play in some snow! That was so much fun! Mom mostly was taking pictures and recording, but we eventually made her put the camera down and come play with us! There is a video though that we find just absolutely hilarious! Mom is recording us throwing snow balls and doesn't notice one coming her way and it just hits her out of no where. It is very funny! We laughed so hard when we watched the video that night in the hotel. I think we watched it 5 or 6 times! Enjoy!

Utah, Day 1

Day one in Utah! What an adventure!

The trip started out amazing. First of all, it was snowing when we landed, which completely made the trip fantastic already! Then, my dad sent me a text as his plane was landing telling me that Dierks Bentley was on his plane. Of course I at first thought he was joking and then I thought that it was way too random to be a joke. Luckily, it turned out to be true!!!!! So, as tacky as it is, I waited in the airport until I saw him and asked if I could get his autograph and a picture! He was very nice! He said that they were on their way to Las Vegas for an award show and doing a few shows on the way and then he was asking what we were doing in Utah. It was a really neat experience!

After that, we picked up our rental car and headed to lunch. On the way to lunch, I took a ton of pictures! I was just taken away by how beautiful the mountains were. Those of you that live there are very lucky. Please do not take advantage of how gorgeous it is out there. We don't have mountains in Central Texas, they are really more like hills. Haha! I made Jesse pull over a couple of times to take pictures because of how beautiful I thought they were. There will be more though, just wait!!

After lunch, we went back to the hotel to rest up a little and get a head start on our homework for school. Then we went to Jesse's mission reunion. That was a lot of fun! I got to meet a lot of his companion's and meet his mission president. Jesse had fun too! He was like a boy again around all the guys. It was quite entertaining!

Another Rodeo & Craig Morgan

We just got back from our vacation, and I'm getting ready to update our blog with all of our pictures. I've been waiting for time to be available to get all of it done, so here I am!

Now this slide show is from before we left. We went to another rodeo and got to see Craig Morgan. I was very excited. I love his music and so does Jesse, so it worked out great! :)
