My Dad's 40th Birthday

My dad's 40th birthday was on January 14th, so the Saturday after we went down to Randolph Air Force Base and went bowling with my family and some of their friends. It was a lot of fun!

Dad was so funny in his birthday hat!!

Me and Jesse in between turns.

Here's Dad bowling in his hat. He claimed it helped him bowl better.

Here's Mom bowling. Mom is known for being the worst at games, but she surprisingly did really well at bowling!!

This is Jesse bowling.

Half-bath project

Every year I like to complete at least one project that I am proud of to start off the new year. In 2009, I compiled pictures from 2008 and made a big picture frame of it! That is still hanging up in our living room and it's nice to look at it and remember all the fun we had our first year of being married! This year, I decided to paint our half-bath downstairs. It took me a while to figure out what color I was going to paint it, but once I did it didn't take me long to get this project done! I am so pleased with how it turned out too!!

My Birthday & Christmas Time

On December 23rd, I celebrated my 21st birthday and Christmas this year was one of the best!! Can't wait to see what 2010 brings!

For my Birthday, Jesse made reservations at Bess' Bistro. It was so good too!! Bess' is owned by Sandra Bullock and one of the things that I love is that the food is portioned out correctly. It's nice to leave a restaurant not feeling overstuffed. After that we got dessert at my favorite place, Katz's. They have the best Death by Chocolate Cake! It is, literally, to die for!!! Thanks honey for a nice evening!

I love to get Christmas cards, and every year I love to put them up on the wall as I get them. It is so great to hear and see the changes everyone has gone through!

This is our house all decked out for Santa!! Last year we only did icicles above the garage and Jesse promised me that we would go all out this year! I was so excited about how it turned out.... AND we won the decorating contest in the neighborhood!!

Our 3 Pups

Here are random pictures of Molly, Rowdy, and Presley. Love them, even though sometimes they can be a pain! HAHA!!

Rowdy was just ready to go to bed this night!

Puppy Love. And yes, that is Rowdy and Presley. They are a funny duo. They never leave each other's side and they cuddle anytime they think no one is watching!

The dogs are not normally allowed on the couch, but anytime my parents come over that rule seems to fly right out the window!!

Caught Jesse and Presley napping together... so cute!!

We can't leave our laptops open without supervision anymore because this is what happens. For some reason, Presley thinks that it's a pillow!

Molly took my spot in bed!! LOL!

Jesse's Surprise Party & Halloween Fun!

For Jesse's 25th Birthday I took him out to a nice dinner (Chili's) and a Matinee Movie. He must've thought I was being pretty cheap, but when we got back to our house he was surprised to see a lot of his family and friends here!! I was so excited that he was actually surprised because there were a few times that I could've sworn he knew what was going on. He's just good like that! Anyway, happy birthday Honey! You are know a quarter of a century old and one year closer to the Senior Citizen Discount! ;)

Last year for Halloween we had maybe 2 trick-or-treaters since we were only one of 6 houses on our street. I was very disappointed about that, but this year was different. Our street was finished out this past year and I was so excited to get trick-or-treaters!!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!

This is an inside joke with my parents, but don't worry!! We will get you back! You just wait to see what we have planned!!!! muhahahaha!!!

This is Jesse and our neighbor Justin. You would think they've known each other for years the way they get along! They are two big kids! :D

Jesse was a 'T-Bird' and I was a 'Pink Lady.'

Aren't they cute!?!?! From left to right, Rowdy, (devil), Presley (hotdog), Molly (butterfly).

The boys tore their costumes off pretty quickly, but Molly seemed to enjoy her costume. She was prancing all around the house ALL evening!

Michael in his Halloween get-up. Supposedly that's his "sexy" look........ You be the judge.

Here is the pumpkin that I carved!

Benini Galleries and Sculpture Ranch

Jesse surprised me one weekend by telling me to get ready to go on a day trip. He has never done anything like that before, so I was very excited about what the day would entail! He wouldn't tell me where or what we were doing!! He took me to this beautiful place called Benini's Foundation. It is an art gallery and sculpture ranch near Johnson City. You can find more information at http://www.sculptureranch.com. It is a great date for any couple! Here are a few pictures of the art and sculptures that we really appreciated.

And yes, this painting is flat. AMAZING!! There were several paintings similar to this style. It represented a time when Benini was exploring the world of Geometry and dimensions. I think he got an A+!!!

I don't know the title of this one, but I love how the dance is incorporated.

"I Could Have Danced All Night"

"Adam & Eve"

"HiHo"

"Beautiful Storm"

"Marathon"

"Higher Education".. get it? ;)
