I couldn't figure out what to call this post, so I'm not going to place a title on this one. This week has been a very exciting and sad week for Jesse and I.

We found out on Monday that we were pregnant. We couldn't believe it since we had been told that there was such a slim chance. We were so shocked since we had been trying for more than a year. Unfortunately, the excitement never got to set in. On Tuesday morning Jesse had to take me to the hospital because I was having very bad pain in my abdomen. After a few hours of testing and ultrasounds, the ob/gyn in the ER told us the devastating news that we had an ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy) and had to have surgery immediately. I don't think either of us have ever been so upset before.

After surgery I woke up with half a fallopian tube gone, no pregnancy, and some new scars. It's not easy to digest it all, but I am on bed rest for the time-being and just trying to take in everything that has occurred. The most exciting part for us is the fact that we got pregnant. I feel like we have a lot more hope now since we have had so much disappointment over the last year. There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel and we can't wait to get to it! It'll be another adventure, but it will be so much more worth it! I am so thankful that I have Jesse to help me. He has been absolutely wonderful. He has been the greatest partner that one could ever ask for! I love him so much!
